Northeast Florida Health Informatics Consorium (NEFHIC) 
 

Mission:

NEFHIC is a consortium of community partners that promotes and helps to realize the use of electronic health information to improve medical care and improve public health. Our vision is that the Northeast Florida Community can appropriately access, utilize and benefit from interoperable and secure electronic health information.

The Goals of NEFHIC are to:

  • Convene community stakeholders who have commitments to electronic health information systems,

  • Promote the adoption and utilization of EHR’s by health care professionals and consumers,

  • Facilitate the sharing of electronic health information and records to improve health care delivery and health outcomes,

  • Increase efficiency, improve the quality, and reduce redundancy and fragmentation of hospital and ambulatory care through increased use of electronic health information,

  • Provide a mechanism for the community to collectively and effectively pursue electronic health information related funding, project and advocacy opportunities.
